Aaron Russo, countertenor
Aaron Russo, countertenor, is a Master’s candidate
in vocal performance at the University of Massachusetts in
Amherst. He began his study as a countertenor while a student
at Phillips Academy Andover, where he is still a regular
guest soloist. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music
from Dartmouth College, where he studied under Louis Burkot
and was a frequent soloist with the Dartmouth College Glee
Club. As a Senior Fellow at Dartmouth Mr. Russo produced
and sang the role of Cupid in a critically acclaimed period
performance of John Blow’s opera Venus and Adonis.
Mr. Russo has also studied in London at the Royal College
of Music under Margaret Cable, in Boston with Sally Sanford
of the Longy School of Music and Wellesley College, and at
UMass with William Hite.
